Throughout history humans have created art and used language as ways of processing our lives and experiences…


Reflective Journaling can be incredibly beneficial for people who are making a major life change or working to live a meaningful life with painful emotions and experiences.

Research shows that journaling and creating art without worrying about the outcome can help with:

  • Physical and emotional healing

  • Improving scores on intelligence tests

  • Boosting memory and mindfulness

  • Strengthening your communication skills

  • Reducing symptoms of trauma and depression

  • Cultivating a sense of wellbeing and transforming your mood

When combined with meditation, therapeutic and embodied practices, writing, drawing and painting can help you create a sense of continuity in your healing and transform old narratives about yourself and the world.

That’s why I often offer prompts in groups and as part of individual sessions and online courses.

If you’re looking for a place to start, this November I’m be holding a small Contemplative Writing group in my office in Chelsea, NYC and via Skype. We’ll meet every Sunday from 3pm - 4:15pm.

Meditative Journaling and Self Care

This group is designed to inspire participants to get in touch with the present moment, deepening our connection to our senses. In the past it's been a catalyst for long lasting connections and an opportunity to cultivate deep personal insight. If you're struggling with creative blocks, feeling disconnected or wanting to dedicate some time to getting to know yourself in a new way this is group for you.
